Our menus reflect the diverse ethnic population of Hawaii and are creatively varied to suit the needs of all our residents. A registered dietitian is on staff to ensure that nutritional needs are satisfied in accordance with the resident's preferences and their attending physician's orders.

Activities

Convalescent Center of Honolulu offers a variety of entertainment and activities.   An activities plan is tailored to each resident’s personal tastes and abilities.  For those who are able, visits to shopping centers and beach picnics are among the planned excursions.  Multicultural social events promote lively interaction while building a sense of community.

One Man Band                                                         

A free musical entertainment program is offered at CCOH. The Administrator of the Convalescent Center of Honolulu has been a recording artist, back-up singer and musician for rock and roll stars of the 50's and 60's. Songwriting credits include rock, country and popular music. Dr. C. Gerald Powers has developed a great love for the standards and offers renditions from the 20's to the 70's. His impressions of Al Jolson, Louis Armstrong and Willy Nelson are especially notable. His guitar and keyboard accompaniment with karaoke backup provides a broad range of nostalgic favorites and exciting routines.
